Updated for 2025! This free download from NASA contains everything you need to create a 2025 Moon Phases Calendar.
Students use their knowledge of the phases of the Moon to assemble a printable Moon Phases Calendar and Calculator. They can then use the tool to look up the phase of the Moon for any day of the year and predict when and where the Moon will be visible.
Simply print the 6-page download out on cardstock and follow the directions.
The only things required that you may not have on hand might be a brass fastener and a hole punch. You can punch a hole through the cardboard with anything on hand. Use a paper clip or any other fastener.

- Know when the moon is overhead.
