Remember that the goal of notebooking pages is inspiring the student to record — for the rest of his life! We start simple with booklets and then gradually progress through the years to the blank page.

It is in those in-between times that the student may wonder what to put in that notebook. These simple guided pages can help.

This set includes room for recording:

• Bird facts such as:
  • Bird Name.
  • Order.
  • Scientific Name.
  • Family.
  • Habitat.
  • Food.
  • Nesting.
  • Call.
• Illustration, drawing, or picture of the bird studied.
• How to identify the bird.
• Several pages for drawing or illustrating various bird features:
  • Beak.
  • Feet.
  • Crest.
  • Pattern.
  • Wing.
• Range (including migration).
• Behavior.

This information is what you will typically find in a bird identification book or online at Cornell’s All About Birds site.

These pages are available as college-lined pages. Younger students will not need to record this much detail and can use a booklet or primary-lined nature set.
