10 Bible Reading Plans for 2020

Here are our updated Bible reading plans for 2026: 10 plans suitable for all members of your family or the family as a whole. Daily Bible reading is a habit that can grow with your child. Start with family Bible reading time (with or without narrations). Eventually your children will get into the Word themselves.

We have accumulated quite a list of Bible study tools, including updated Bible reading plans on our Bible Study Tools page. The list below includes updated options.

Here are 10 Bible reading plans updated for 2026:

Bible Study Journal
Each day you can print the journal page that includes the daily Bible reading, study questions, journal prompts, prayer requests, and an application challenge. The plan takes two years to complete. Scroll down for full download.

2026 Bible Reading Plan
This is a printable calendar that includes Bible selections for each day that you can check off. The readings are arranged thematically, but the entire Bible is covered.

52-Week Plan
In this plan, each week you will read from the epistles, law, history, psalms, poetry, prophesy, and gospels — one each day.

Chronological Bible Reading Plan
You will read through the entire Bible, but in chronological order.

Book-at-a-Time Bible Reading Plan
Just as it says, one book of the Bible at a time. There are also days of reflection that can be used to catch up if necessary.

Daily Light on the Daily Path
Breaks things up with reading in both mornings and evenings.

Bible Reading Chart
No pressure? Just use this chart to check off the books of the Bible as you read them — the when is up to you.

Weekly 2026 Bible Reading Plan
Broken down by week instead of day to provide better flexibility.

3-Year Plan
For those who like a slower pace, but want to read every word in the Bible.

Bible Reading Generator
And now for something completely different: choose your reading options and generate your own (iCal, CSV, or print)! Too cool.

Daily Bibles

One of the things I really enjoy is Bibles that are set up with a Bible plan to work through — often referred to as “daily Bibles.” Here are a few of my favorites from this category:

This Year’s Selection

NASB Daily Scripture

NASB, Daily Scripture, Paperback, 1995 Text, Comfort Print: 365 Days to Read Through the Whole Bible in a Year by Zondervan
This year I’m using the Daily Scripture from Zondervan. You read through the whole Bible with the readings already divided out into days for you. There is a very short devotional at the beginning of each day. I choose the NASB version. It is also available in the NIV.

Selections from Previous Years

ESV Women's Study Bible

ESV Women’s Study Bible
Last year’s selection. I read this using the Bible reading plan in the back, which includes readings from Psalms and Wisdom Literature, Pentateuch and History of Israel, Chronicles and Prophets, and Gospels and Epistles each day. Frankly, it was a whole lot of reading! But I am glad I finished the entire thing. We went through Psalms, Luke, Romans, and Isaiah twice. The reflections were all quality devotions.

The One Year Bible

The One Year Bible
Published by Tyndale. I chose the KJV, but you can also read in the NIV, NKJV, ESV, and NLT translations.

The Devotional Bible

The Devotional Bible
I used the two-year plan. The slower walk through the Bible was a nice change of pace. Lucado includes thoughts and commentary from many well-known authors and theologians, as well as his own books. Really enjoyed this one.

NIV Once-A-Day Bible for Women
A previous read with an Old Testament, Psalms or Proverbs, and New Testament selection each day. Study notes are geared specifically to women.

Grace for the Moment Daily Bible

Grace for the Moment Daily Bible
Set up with 365 daily reads from the Old Testament, Psalms, Proverbs, and the New Testament with notes from Max Lucado. Highly recommended!

One Minute Bible

One Minute Bible Day by Day
From Holman, this would work well for younger readers.

NIV Once-a-Day Bible
Arranged chronologically. Just be aware, it does take a long time to get to the New Testament!

NIV Lifehacks Bible

NIV Lifehacks Bible
Truthfully, I wasn’t sure I was really going to appreciate this one simply based on the title. But the notes by Joe Carter were indeed very helpful. The reading plan walks you through the Bible in one year from front to back.

KJV Daily Reading Bible
Free option from Living Word Bible Church in the UK. EPUB or Mobi.
