With our worlds spinning so fast around us, we long for that ‘lone time. Some have taken such measures as locking themselves in the bathroom — the only place little arms can’t reach — until they can catch their breath. Some take that long walk, that morning run, that evening bike ride. Others get up an hour before the family day starts — just to have ‘lone time.
‘Lone can sometimes make the focus self. Can we dedicate even those ‘lone times to God?

That’s really where everything starts — loving, parenting, homeschooling, … living — getting the focus off of ourselves, and putting the focus on Christ.
This year, whether you are a new homeschooler, an old veteran, or somewhere in between, make a commitment to start the new year on a firm foundation.
The statement we so often hear, “Make a decision for Jesus Christ,” places the emphasis on something our Lord never trusted [self]. He never asks us to decide for Him, but to yield to Him— something very different.
