Our Wonderful World Winter covers feathered friends: The world of birds.
Nature explorations for winter cover birds, their adaptations (beaks, feet, etc.), bird guardians, and how to attract, feed, and care for birds.
In each chapter, children learn about the birds through story before observing and exploring.
At the end of each chapter are options for learning more:
- Suggestions (Something to Do).
- Experiment and observation.
- Narration.
- Memorization.
- Notebook suggestions (including copywork, diagrams, and more).
- Books to read for more information.
In addition, extended readings are provided to provide greater understanding. These optional readings expand the total number of lessons to 26 plus review.
Along the way, children will encounter the wonders of nature close at hand while building observation and research skills—skills that will last them a lifetime no matter what their future may hold. The one who does the work is the one learning.
More importantly, they learn more about God and His plan for creation.
