Puzzlemaker is a puzzle generation tool for teachers, students and parents. Create and print customized word search, criss-cross, math puzzles, and more-using your own word list.
With Puzzlemaker from DiscoveryEducation.com you can create 10 different types of puzzles:
- Word Search
- Criss-Cross
- Double Puzzles
- Fallen Phrases
- Math Squares
- Mazes
- Letter Tiles
- Cryptograms
- Number Blocks
- Hidden Mess
To use the tool, just click on the type of puzzle you will create. Fill out each step of the resulting form. You have the option of outputting the puzzle in html or text form. Use html if you intend to print or text if you wish to copy and paste the puzzle into another document. Originally you could save your puzzle to be accessed online later. That is no longer an option.
To save the puzzle that you have created, we suggest copying and pasting both the puzzle and the solution to a Word Document and then saving to your desktop.
While we do not advocate an overabundance of worksheets, every once in a while a puzzle can be a fun way of helping a concept stick.
