If you are looking for a sound Latin course geared to self-taught students, you won’t find better than Linney’s Latin Class for the price. This free online Latin course is offered by William E. Linney, the author of Getting Started with Latin.
There is no registration or cost associated with taking the course. The student simply listens to the lectures. The course uses the 1902 text The First Year of Latin by Gunnison and Harley which you can find here in a variety of formats. An answer key is provided.
The Linney Latin Class is a labor of love from a “non-professional” Latin teacher who firmly believes that “homeschooled and self-taught individuals should have access to high-quality Latin education materials that don’t cost an arm and a leg.” And we appreciate his service!
