Someone very special to me gifted me with Our Daily Walk by F. B. Meyer a year ago this past Christmas. Each day in 2016 I read encouragement from this Baptist minister who was actively involved in inner city missions.
Our Daily Walk begins with making a fresh start and keeping Christ as our example. It ends by reminding us to obey His voice:
We may question if it be His voice, but we are rarely wrong in detecting that Voice, when it reminds us of duties we have omitted, and calls on us to take up the cross which we have shunned.
It’s a new year — this is a great time to start a new devotional!
