Bible Story Lessons for Children {Free}

For the youngest children, it is usually enough to read through a Bible story book and have them narrate afterward what was read. When your children are ready for more, you might appreciate Hurlbut’s Bible Lessons For Boys and Girls by the Rev. Jesse Lyman Hurlbut.

While these free lessons are keyed to Hurlbut’s Story of the Bible, they could easily stand on their own as a family reads through the Bible together.

Although the lesson questions are meant to be asked, and then answered by the child, they can also be used by Mom as a guide for narrations, or as a prompt for older students in their written narrations.

Hurlbut’s Story of the Bible by Jesse Lyman Hurlbut
One of our favorites for the younger reader.  Great to read through and have the young Bible student narrate and illustrate what he read.  Hurlbut’s Bible Lessons for Boys and Girls is keyed to his Story of the Bible, but both books stand alone.
