Beautiful 2016 Jan Brett Calendar {Free}

Each year Jan Brett offers a free calendar download, usually based on one of her latest books.  This year’s calendar is based on her book The Turnip, a fun twist on a Russian folktale about a family’s efforts to pull up an enormous turnip.

To use the calendar, just print the beautiful artwork pieces for each month on a standard-sized sheet of paper or cardstock.  Then print the grid for each month.

Tape the artwork and grid together to form the calendar, or if you happen to have a comb binder available, bind the two together.  The result is a gorgeous 10×16 calendar to use for keeping appointments or teaching your child how to use a calendar.

You can also use the interactive calendar to make the grid for each month, print the artwork of your choice from one of previous years, and assemble.

We love Jan Brett’s work, and her free yearly calendar is a great freebie for the homeschool handy-mom!
