The Iditarod, March 5, 2022
We have updated our Iditarod unit study and resources for 2022 and the 50th anniversary of the running of the race.
This year the race will take the northern route. You will find a link to the 2022 race map in our suggested unit resources.
In addition, students can pick their favorite musher, plot the trail, follow the leaders, and learn more about sled dogs and the great state of Alaska.
You will also find background history on the race and the dogs used, along with other maps, forms, charts, drawing lessons, unit studies, lesson plans, activities, and printables.
There are links to several excellent educational interactive games, but — heads up — many require Flash.
