Just when we were rather despairing at the fact that our favorite place to find outline maps shut down, NASA steps up to the rescue! These 21 blank world outline maps are free!
Geography is one of those areas of learning where it is best to strike while the iron is hot, so to speak. Geography (and spelling) stick best when the subject has a relevance. For example, while reading Around the World in 80 Days, students can follow the locations visited on a map. Of course for this type of natural learning, you need maps!
This set provided by NASA include maps of:
- Asia.
- Antarctica.
- Eastern Hemisphere.
- Western Hemisphere.
- Continents.
- United States.
- World.
- Many others!
While it is best not to overdo, pull out a map and have your student mark locations as you come across them when relevant. Then add the pages to a notebook.
Here is a great set to keep on hand and refer to frequently. And it is free!
