The summer months are a great time to experiment outside — keep ’em learning! No one will object to making a balloon rocket! You’ll find everything you need over at ScienceBob.com.
Only four items are needed — ones you most likely have hanging around the home already: string, a straw, tape, and of course, a balloon. While the instructions tell you how to launch your balloon rocket indoors, I recommend taking this one outside and running the rocket between trees, fence posts, or other supports.
This fun idea can be easily transformed into a learning experiment with a simple dialog. You’ll find four questions at the site to get you started. But, hey, it’s summer! Keep it simple — and enjoy!
