So you have a natural beginning in mind. Here are 34 concrete ideas or things to do with your preschooler that go hand in hand with the basic natural framework:

1. Cuddle up with a great picture book.
2. Play with bubbles.
3. Play simple board games.

5. Help with the laundry — match socks!

9. Create with clay.

When you are ready to start something just a tad more formal.  This is another one of those books we made good use of in the early years.  Subtitled, The How-To Book That Grows With Your Child, inside are “260 weekly developmental activities from birth to age 5.”  Many times these activities will be ones you are already engaged in with your child, or conversely, your child simply may not be ready for some of the activities.  Always pick and choose what fits you, your child, and your family!
