violinLooking for a way to incorporate music into your homeschool?

British music publisher Boosey & Hawkes has a site that those who enjoy classical music are going to love. Boosey & Hawkes Radio allows you to stream classical music – free!

You choose the classical period or composer, or choose your mood (Heroic Struggle, Tuneful, or Sunny Saturday, for example). With free registration, you can also change the mood via their tag cloud. Homeschool moms will appreciate this free and ad free site.

What an easy way to introduce our young people to classical music!

Suggestions
  • Move through the musical periods streaming one composer at a time. Start with Bach, for example, and let him play each day for a certain period of time throughout the month.
  • Create a page in a music notebook with a picture of the composer and the names of a few of the selections each child enjoyed.
